Terms of Use
Last updated 16 August 2026
Ledger is a personal finance tracking app operated by Sayantan Roy. By signing in you agree to the terms below.
Invite-only access
The app is currently in user acceptance testing and is available only to accounts the owner has approved. Access may be granted, changed or withdrawn at the owner's discretion.
Your account
You are responsible for the Google account you sign in with and for the statement files you upload. Upload only files you are entitled to use. Do not attempt to access other users' data, disrupt the service, or use the app for anything unlawful.
Not financial advice
Ledger organises and summarises the transaction data you provide. Categorisation is partly automated and can be wrong. Nothing in the app is financial, tax, investment or legal advice, and you should check figures against your own statements before relying on them.
Availability
The app is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. It is a personal project in testing: features may change, and the service may be unavailable or reset without notice. Keep your original statement files.
Third-party services
Sign-in uses Google. AI categorisation, if you enable it, uses the AI provider and API key you configure. Those services have their own terms, which apply to your use of them.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the owner is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app, including inaccurate categorisation, loss of data, or interruption of service.
